Brief Update and Some Info
Hi Folks,
CUPE
I had hoped to send something out a bit earlier with information about CUPE negotiations. They returned to the table yesterday, and they had today and Wednesday set aside for negotiations as well. As much as I would like to report something, (anything, in fact), there does not seem to be any news coming from the table. The cone of silence seems to have descended. This may or may not be a good thing. I will pass along any info as soon it comes in. The following link has the latest CUPE updates.

Staff Reps, Pro-D reps and Health and Safety Reps,
There is never a good time of the school year to suggest additions to anyone’s role. However, the role and functions of these representatives are an important part of any staff. They do help to ‘level the playing field’ and support your colleagues.
We have heard from some staffs already. Could you let us know who the reps on your staff will be…. And thank you for doing this.
Collective Agreement and the VINTA website
We have not printed any new copies of our Collective Agreement for a number of years. I know folks are totally anxious to stay up late reading our Collective Agreement.
